Joseph Watcher/Pokémon

From Developing Space

I apologize if this doesn't read that well. It is a well-organized dump of thoughts.

Nature: Modest

Characteristic: Often lost in thought

When visiting a Pokémon universe, Joseph Watcher is a Sylveon as seen in the following image:

The following textual information for his appearance is obsolete: Extreme:

  • White -> Dim Glowing Neon Red
  • Pink -> Black
  • Blue stays the same
  • Light Blue -> Glowing Cyan

Tame:

Sylveon was chosen because it is an eeveelution and the base personality matches his very well ("How about we don't fight? If we must, I will kick your rear.")

Move sets are an interesting topic. If the place he is visiting requires everyone to have a valid move set, then he has the following:

  • Ability: Pixilate
  • Protect
  • Hyper Beam
  • Dazzling Gleam
  • Telekinesis (can be taught by Move Tutor)

Otherwise, he has the following (if allowed):

  • Primary Ability: Pixilate
  • Secondary Ability: Steward (Joseph Variant) (See below)
  • Protect
  • Teleport
  • Telekinesis
  • Pseudo-Random (See below)

Move ("Normal"): Pseudo-Random (PP 10 Max 15 Unless the caller is a Steward or has a variant of the Steward ability, in which case, the default PP is 50 with an unbounded max)
After a half-second delay, a "random" move is chosen and executed from the list of all moves (including Z moves and status moves except Sketch) that would be the most useful at this moment. A Steward or anyone with a variant of the Steward ability can, if they want to (but hardly ever do because "Adventure!"), have the move select the move they want to execute.

Steward ability: Will add this later...

I am still working on figuring out how to format this... The following is slightly out-dated and is pending a merge with the above...

If possible though, I would like him to have the following "mutable" move set (or an undefined one) due to him coming from elsewhere and being a Steward.

If move sets are required then he has at least two. He can switch from one to another. This takes about one second and during that period of time, he cannot start any moves. He can switch to the first, second, next, and previous move sets. The first move set is Teleport, Protect, Metronome, and Metronome (or Dazzling Gleam if you don't want him to have 2 Metronomes). His Metronome moves are much less random and usually call a move that he wanted to use.

His second move set he can prepare ahead of time (like a DnD spell list) to contain what he wants. If he hasn't prepared the list since his last extended rest, then it will contain a random set of moves.
